Teachers
Sound Music Instruction takes pride in our teachers. Every one of our teachers has experience working with piano technique and performance, music theory, composition, improvisation, and music from different parts of the world.
Each teacher has a unique approach to facilitate learning and development. We carefully match each student with a compatible teacher who will work with his or her individual interests and experience to develop musical skills, creativity, and growth.
We work to stimulate and maintain interest in music and the piano, while developing the skills that will help students excel in all areas of music-making.
Sound Music Instruction teachers are also creative artists, involved with a variety of different musical genres and styles in the greater Seattle music community. Many of our teachers have won awards and grants as well-respected performers, composers, improvisers, and organizers.
This activity and involvement as artists, combined with a passion for teaching, is what sets our teachers apart.
